RESC Awarded $3.3 Million Next Generation School Improvement Grant
Today RESC is excited to announce that the Indiana Department of Education Office of School Support & Transformation selected us as one of the eight schools from 40 applicants to be in the 1st Cohort of the Next Generation School Improvement Grant (NextGen SIG). This grant is worth $3.3 Million over a four-year period. Year one will be used for planning to transform student learning, with years 2-4 used for implementation. This competitive NextGen SIG required applicants to identify an intervention priority upon which to focus their improvement efforts and an intervention model designed to secure the necessary conditions to transform educational opportunities. Additionally, given that school transformation requires specialized expertise, applicants were encouraged to identify an expert partner to provide strategic guidance and expert support in the planning and implementation phase. RESC will use the grant funds to transform Student Pathways and Postsecondary credentials available to our Jr/Sr High School students.
