JH Play - The Principal's Apprentice

The JH Play is Thursday, October 26 at 7 p.m. in the cafetorium. Tickets are $3 for Adults, $2 for Students

“You’re fired!”  rings out from Principal Donald Trumpet’s boardroom during Griffin Dodge’s first ten minutes on the job at Bandersnatch High School.  But it isn’t directed at him.  No, Trumpet has just fired his aide, his associate, and his assistant, leaving Griffin the only one left to take up the slack.  “How does Trumpet get away with that?!”  one departing ex-staffer wonders.  Only the cleaning lady, Rita, knows the secret — a book called The Art of Hypnotism.  With this discovery, a new world opens up for Griffin.  However, this new bag of tricks turns out to be a can of worms!  Before he can master his hypnotic power, Griffin causes one lady to fall in love with him, another to think she is his mother and still another to see dragons in the school halls!  As if this wasn’t bad enough, suddenly Principal Trumpet vanishes!  When the police arrive, Griffin is their main suspect.  Lines fly rapid-fire in this spoof of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” with a generous nod toward a certain ruthless reality TV show!
